BAVARIA GARDEN SCHOOL

FAÇADE RE-DESIGN

Located between residential buildings, the existing school project was lacking to own identity within the surrounding. We were commissioned to redesign the façade, blending in with its surroundings and tune it with the adjacent residential buildings. The appearance of our proposal towards public space and the main street is defined by three dominant two-level pitched-roof volumes with minimalistic archetypal expression drawn by the surrounding context.

Contrasting with the stucco facade of the surrounding structures the volumes are cladded partially with distinctively vertical profiled larch and zinc clad on the upper part of the building. This material composition divided the longitudinal building into several structural volumes to adapt to the scale of the neighborhood at its most.
